Middle Ages, Reformation, and Renaissance
Middle Ages: a lack of movement of people, goods, and ideas. People rely on the manor system and feudalism, where everything is produced on the manor and there is a strict order of power and control.
The Catholic Church becomes the unifying entity and holds a lot of political power (the same, or more, as a king). Reformation: The Reformation is the objection to this power and corruption and all of the events that happen because of this. Martin Luther leads this reformation. |
