What Are We Doing?---"Stray" Summaries Wordles

10/8/2015

After reading the short story "Stray," we created our own paper wordles that show the best and most important words from the different pages of the story.  We practiced our summarizing skills, but also worked on evaluating words and using evidence from the text to prove and defend our words!

Here are the Wordles using all of the team's chosen words.
When given a chance to look at the words used for each page, someone who has not read the book made this statement about the story:
"Somebody (Doris) that has found a hungry and starving dog at the pound? and she wants to keep it…. They’re either too poor to get the dog or they’re too poor and have to give the dog to the pound.
They get to keep the dog."
